I heart Denzel

Wanna know a cool way to get stressed? Take on more work than you can handle. I say its a cool way because i love making pictures, so if there's any way to get stressed this is my way of choice. This is the first/seventh draft of a poster i did for friends in a band. Im showing the band for the first time today, so fingers crossed they like pink. Sketchnes

We had our midsemester review for our film last week. it went well, but i think we are going to redraft the script again to make it more punchy. i want to redo some of the story boards too. they arent very exciting. actually they are really bland, but i think it should be fun to build on them.

Any way, here are some sketches from the week or two past. they generally dont turn out well when i scan them coz they are animation pencil. i had to mess with them in PS to make them visable so thats why they look all scratchy.


this is just a drawing of my dad watching tv. its done with old drawing pencil i found. its like a soft crayon thing, im not sure if i like it.

PreVis Mofo

We have been working on preproduction for our film for about 12 hours straight today. my eyes hurt and i feel like crying. on the plus side we did get a lot done. my role is mostly previs, so design and story boarding. the next pic is one of the storyboards for our animatic
The Next drawings are kind of old. they are some original concepts for Richard and Dr Terror Haahaha, its all inverted, and now my text is aparently a hyperlink to somewhere. i love technology

heya friends,
i went to super nova today. it was super lame. i wish i had more time to schmooze with game company big wigs, but i had to have lunch and run off to work. work was also super lame. none the less i had a good day, because i drew something nice. this is not that something, i will save it for another day. this is a stupid little doodle i did while i was story boarding our film, trying to establish the relationship in sizes between Richard and dr terror. then i used it to muck around with a colour pallet

oh and one more thing, this is an old concept for Dr Terror i thought you might like to see. these are really reallly rough, please dont judge me on them, they are just ideas

SemiPermanent

I just got back from sydney yesterday after going to a design conference called SemiPermanent. it was so inspiring. i think i changed my dream job about 8 times during the two days. People like Amazing James Jean Si Scott Method Studios and Nash Edgerton and heaps of other awsome people were there. Fantastic weekend. i did a few sketches while i was waiting to leave from brisbane air port but life drawing (unfortunately) isnt my strong point

More Terror!!!

hey you crazy kids, the film is still moving forward, at a snails pace. but snails a rad, and so is our film so im going to show you a few sketches from my sketch book. We pretty much decided to ditch the original concept for the helmet after three lecturers indipendently told us we should. im not usually one to listen to authority figures but after three people told me i think i should take the hintmore posts to come soon!!
