Suday afternoon

I guess I've been thinking about doing this for a while, but Ive always felt a bit weird about it. It took a few hours to get down, and it looks nothing like the subject. Actually I'll give you 5 points if you can guess who it is. Its a pretty obscure reference. the part i liked most about the exersize was looking at the way light changed the natural colour of surfaces. its pretty dramatic.

That could only be the face of Alex Grigg. Love the colours, and the canvas texture is a nice touch (or a gross anachronism in the digital age. Traditional painting - PAH) I'm going to leave my criticism hat on the peg, and shave my head while I'm at it, because self portraits are ffff-fruiting hard.

While I'm here, I will single out the Ice Queen as a particularly fine example of radcore.

Keep it all up Griggievich.

dude that rules I love it, to teh point of angry jealousy, and also if rad cor is what I think it is(a sub genre of awesome core) I agree both are rad core.

haha I keep going back to look at it again... the top half looks especially like you! The hair looks really fantastic... it must have been difficult to capture your wild curls! and I love the way you did the shirt...
I love portraits... especially self portraits... there is alot of feeling in them... and your eyes are really piercing the viewer I think. it is quite a provoking drawing!!! rad core... im not really sure what they mean by that...
